This includes researching;
-Requirements, the job role and duties for profession
-Identifying approximate starting salaries for such jobs (if salary is negotiable this should help give you a starting point).
You can find information via:
-Job descriptions / job specifications
-The job adverts
-Career Advice Centres
-Professional bodies
-Newspapers
-Magazines
-The Internet
-Asking people who work in the field
-Articles about/written by people in the profession.
You should also do some research on the company you are applying to.
