Researching the company
This includes researching some all of the following;
-details about the company, what it does, if it is part of a larger group, the company structure, its operations, key personnel, locations, reputation, recruitment preferences etc.
A useful place to start this research is actually in the job specification, or if there is no specification then you should check out the company website, and in particular the 'about us' page. Other information should be available from a variety of sources. For example if you want to find out about the company's accounts then Companies House would be a good starting point.
