Writing a CV is a lot harder than most people realise. Yes, most people can write a CV of sorts, and in many cases it can be presentable, and possibly even effective to some degree.

However, there is a lot more to writing a CV than meets the eye, and the vast majority of people apply for jobs which CVs which are nowhere near as powerful and effective as they could be. Indeed, most people make mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes is to undersell themselves. Of course, no one deliberately does this, and most people don't even realise that they are doing it. However, the fact of the matter is that most people don't present their skills, traits and experience powerfully enough, or in a correctly targeted and optimised manner.

You may not think that this is important. However, it is highly significant, because the job market is extremely competitive, and you need to come across as an achiever.
