Construction CV

The construction sector is very varied, and comprises an eclectic array of blue and white-collar professionals working on a broad range of projects. For example, manual workers include labourers, drivers , bricklayers, plasterers, electricians, carpenters and plumbers etc. while white-collar workers include project managers, site managers, architects, planners, HR executives, supply chain professionals, finance professionals, accountants, senior managers and directors to name but a few.

With so many different job types, and so many different levels it is quite clear that there is no such thing as a typical construction CV.

If you want to improve your odds of landing good construction jobs than you need a top-quality CV which will stand out over and above the competition.

- Richard Jezo, Construction Manager, Saudi Arabia

Construction CV

As far as CVs and competition for construction sector jobs is concerned, this also varies depending upon the job you are targeting. For example, if you are targeting a job as a labourer then the quality of your CV isn't so essential in the whole scheme of things. However, if you are targeting one of the white-collar jobs, then quality of your CV is important, because ultimately you only get one shot at good jobs, and competition for good construction sector jobs is stiff. We do a lot of work for construction professionals working both in the UK and abroad in places such as the Middle East, and there is no doubt that if you are targeting good construction jobs you will be competing against very strong CVs.
